ABOUT VOICES OF CHRIST
Matthew 28:18-20: "And Jesus came and
spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and
on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I
am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Voices of Christ Literary Ministries
International, Inc., a Georgia Nonprofit Corporation, exists solely
to train and equip present day scribes with the biblical tools needed to
operate effectively in their prophetic call to write the creative word
of the Lord while providing a supportive, nurturing environment that
promotes individuality, spiritual growth and development, and intimacy
with God.
We are governed by the “agape” love of God, and driven by a desire to
see every prophetic writer restored, affirmed, equipped and released
into their destiny and purpose in Jesus Christ. While other ministries
focus almost exclusively on entertaining, building natural skills and
techniques, publishing, marketing and promoting products, Voices of
Christ focuses on leading the heart of the writer directly into the
presence of God. There is nothing wrong with pursuing other areas of
literary ministry. We have found, however, that while many are
perfecting and pushing their literary gift, they often forget to
strengthen, nurture and expand their spiritual growth in Jesus Christ.
As a result, they can often lose focus of the true calling on their
lives. We believe scribes can only be effective in ministry if
their hearts and minds are renewed and united in Jesus Christ.
Writers who enter into covenant relationship with Voices of Christ are
consistently and fervently pushed into the presence of God through bible
study, biblically sound teaching and training, prayer, praise, and
worship. We believe that it is in this place that they begin to
accurately discern the voice of God and develop or fortify the desire to
perfect their skills for excellent service in the Kingdom – not the
world. While it is okay to value skill and technique, it is more
important to have the spirit realm developed in the things of God so
that balance rooted in spiritual maturity is established.
SPIRITUAL COVERING
Voices of Christ is under the spiritual covering of Apostle John A.
Davis Sr., founder of the
Harvest
International Network. Here, Voices of Christ is held accountable
for its character, integrity, teachings and walk with the Lord. Apostle
Davis mentors, advises and counsels Prophetess Theresa Harvard Johnson
and her husband, Elder Leonard Johnson Jr., in the ministry with a father's heart, while
encouraging and strengthening them with a network of prayer warriors and
the Love of God. Harvest International Network is a ministerial
fellowship established on prayer and intercession, and focused
on nurturing pastors and leaders. Prophetess Theresa and her husband are ordained ministers within this network of
leaders.
VISION
To equip present day scribes with the biblical tools needed to operate
effectively in their prophetic call to write and minister the creative
word of the Lord while providing a supportive, nurturing environment
that promotes individuality, spiritual growth and development, and
intimacy with God.
MISSION
To break the strongholds of entertainment, comparison, compromise and
competition in the worship arts by preaching the truth to believers; To
restore the ministry of the literary arts to the body of Christ, and to
save souls for Jesus Christ through the ministry of prophetic creative
writing.
PURPOSE
To raise up generations of end-time literary ministers who are sold out
for the gospel of Jesus Christ, and who are committed to spreading his
prophetic, creative word with boldness and without compromise.

FAITH STATEMENT
+We believe that the Holy Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired and
official word of God.
+We believe that there is one God who is eternally present as God the
Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit.
+We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was born of the
virgin Mary. We believe he was crucified and resurrected for the
salvation of mankind.
+We believe in the atonement of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ
our Lord and Savior.
+We believe in water baptism as well as the baptism of the Holy Spirit
with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
+We believe in signs, wonders and miracles operating in the life of a
believer.
+We believe in the establishment of the five-fold ministry in the body
of Christ - apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists & teachers - for
the purpose of equipping the saints.
+We believe in the operation of spiritual gifts in the lives of
believers.

Mentoring: Voices of Christ offers individual and group mentoring
concerning the ministry of prophetic writing.
The School of the Scribe: Voices of Christ offers ongoing
prophetic insight, direction and activation into the ministry of
prophetic writing through The School of the Scribe.
The Scribal Anointing: The Scribal Anointing is the prophetic
instruction and direction portal of Voices of Christ. It is also home of
Esdras' Scroll: The Prophetic Poetry & Creative Writing Magazine of
Voices of Christ.
The Voices of Christ E-Newsletter: Our e-newsletter publishes
poets and creative writers online, and in print. In addition, books and
products by VOC Directors and members are promoted through our e-store.
SPOKEN Poetry Radio: SPOKEN: In praise, poetry and spoken word is
a global Internet radio broadcast established to (1) give poets, spoken
word artists, other literary ministers and worship arts leaders an
opportunity to share their ministry with the world; (2) to evangelize
the gospel through the worship arts, and (3) to discuss the prophetic
direction and role of the worship arts in the church. The broadcast
actually began in 2001 on a local Atlanta radio station as The Praise
Poetry Café! After running for more than a year, it was phased out
completely. Then in February of 2006, Voices of Christ partnered with
The Praise House to produce SPOKEN. The broadcast is hosted by leaders
within Voices of Christ.
Voices of Christ: Voices of Christ is the umbrella that supports
all ministry and outreach efforts.
