SUBMISSION GUIDELINES BELOW
ESDRAS' SCROLL is the new prophetic,
creative writing magazine of Voices of Christ Literary Ministries
International. Published three times a year, the magazine focuses
exclusively on sharing the heart of God with his people concerning the
times and seasons in which we live.
The magazine speaks from three distinct clarion voices: (1) The heart of
God, our Father, who has set the terms and conditions of mankind plainly
before His people; (2) The mind of Christ - our Lord, Savior and
returning King - who has given us the keys to the Kingdom, and (3) The
voice of the Holy Spirit whose purpose is to lead us into all truth
concerning God's will and purpose for our lives.
The magazine features author and artist interviews, various forms of
poetry, short stories, novel excerpts, short devotions, short stories
and other forms of Holy Spirit inspired creative writings that
encourage, exalt, edify and warn believers -- while consistently and
CLEARLY recognizing God our Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Esdras is the Greek name for Ezra. The
name literally refers to the original two books in the Old Testament,
the Apocrypha and some early Jewish writings called Esdras 1 and Esdras
2. Today, those two books are best known as Ezra and Nehemiah.
Ezra, per our studies in The Scribal Anointing Training &
Demonstration Manual, is the foundation for our understanding of who
we are as priests and present day scribes. The message Ezra carried
in his heart was to live a life instructed in the Kingdom of God. In
addition, Ezra's name means "HELP," and Nehemiah's name means
"COMFORTER" in Hebrew.
Thus, the purpose of our magazine, Esdras' Scroll, is to walk out these definitions through scribal
ministry in the hearts and minds of those who read it.
Please follow the writer's guidelines precisely. Failure to do so
will result in your submission being deleted. Also, please do not
contact us regarding the status of your submission, as we receive a high
volume of emails and cannot respond to all. Featured poets will be
contacted by email.
Esdra's Scroll publishes "prophetic" Christian poetry of various
forms, short stories, devotions, photography, original artwork and
other experimental or creative writings of Holy Spirit filled writers
that accurately reflect the biblical times and seasons in which
we live. In each issue, we feature interviews with selected authors and
visual artists. Submissions can be subtle in their relationship to Jesus
Christ or they can be direct and very specific. The submissions,
however, must represent the "prophetic" word of the Lord.
At the end of the day, we want God to be exalted; the unsaved to connect
with the Lord and commit to Christ; and the Church to be instructed,
directed, encouraged, exalted and moved to action.
Esdra's Scroll is published three times a year. First Quarter Magazine
Published Online. Print copies of future editions available soon.
Writer's retain all copyright to their work.
