Voices of Christ Literary Ministries International: The Authority on Christian Creative Writing!

Voices of Christ Literary Ministries International
Newsletter: February 16, 2008

Kingdom Greetings!

It is with great excitement and joy that I greet you! Over the past few months, Voices of Christ Literary Ministries International has undergone some significant changes by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I tell you, it hasn't been easy, but we are back and stronger than we have ever been before. First, I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers and support over the years.

For those who have been wondering what's REALLY going on, here's the overview in bulleted form:

  • What happened to the poetry team? The ministry has matured intensely since the birth of the Voices of Christ Prophetic Poetry Team in 2000. We moved from being an evangelistic team of traveling poets, psalmists and spoken word artists into a ministry that mentors and equips creative writers -- with a special focus on poets - for the work of the ministry.

Featured Poets & Artists Sought for
Esdras' Scroll

In every issue of Esdras' Scroll, the Voices of Christ seek to highlight prophetic poets, spoken word artists, rappers, ministers of music and dance, psalmists, songwriters, playwrights, novelists and others who are setting a standard and delivering a prophetic message from the Lord to saints today.

The featured Poet for the Winter Quarter is: Randy Goss of Powder Springs, Georgia. Randy is the author of Climbing Higher: A Life in Poetry, and the recently released Journaling Change. If you are interested in being featured in future issues of Esdras' Scroll, please contact Voices of Christ at

Call For Submissions: Seeking Testimonies

The second issue of Esdras' Scroll is scheduled to debut on Saturday, March 15, 2008. Currently, we are adding a second section to the Christian Creative Magazine entitled, "Testimonies." We are currently seeking essays between 800-1,500 words that describe testimonies and miracles in the lives of believers with disabilities.

The testimony must clearly speak to the miracle power of Jesus Christ, and encourage, educate or move others to action. They must be relevant to our society and provide solutions for the body of Christ. Clearly define the disability, the challenges and how the challenges were transformed into personal miracles. Feel free to include relevant photos in addition to your photo (if available) and a brief bio. True stories only please.

Please feel free to include statistics, supporting materials, links, etc. on a separate page if you are unable to incorporate this into your essay. Please be creative in nature. We are not looking for mini sermons, but testimonies that draw the reader into your circumstance and then to the Lord. Send your essays to submissions@voicesofchrist.org, subject: DISabilities. The deadline is Thursday, Feb. 28. Deadline extended for these submissions. These essays will appear in the March issue. Reprints okay.
